New Directions in the History of Liturgy
A study day for scholars from across the disciplines whose research engages with histories of communal religious worship, whether by means of its texts, spaces, rituals, meanings, or material traces.
The day will involve:

The day will involve:
- work-in-progress presentations from scholars at all career levels (submissions welcome until 22 March 2024; see the @HistLiturgy Twitter account for a CFP)
- themed sessions on ‘Narratives in and of the Medieval Office’ (in collaboration with the AHRC-funded project ‘Music in the Shadows: Staging Medieval Night Worship, 800-1300’, at the University of Nottingham)
- an open panel discussion on new directions in the field.
