In this first half of this session, the VCH central office team and Jamie Bowman will introduce working with images in publications: the mechanics of permissions, copyright and supplying images that publishers can use.

In the second half, Matt Bristow - using building photography as an example - will introduce some of the practical considerations around taking your own images with publication in mind: accessing your subject, permissions, and how to (try) to take a good picture.

Jamie Bowman

Matthew Bristow is a Senior Investigator in Historic England's Research Group.
