Alexis' Research

Alexis Rider is a historian of science and the environment interested in all things cryos- and geos. Her work explores how material, nonhuman actors--ice, plastics, rocks--have shaped human understandings of, and relationships with, deep time. In addition to her scholarship, Alexis undertakes artistic collaborations that interrogate human-environment relationships on a spatially and temporally vast scale. See more here: alexisrider.com
