Conor Wyer

Dr Conor Wyer is Institute Manager at the IHR

Conor manages and co-ordinates the day to day running of the Institute, leads the central administration, line manages the functions which sit within the Director's office including fellowships, events, administration and finance. He provides strategic leadership on organisational, financial and operational matters across the Institute and advises the Director on personnel issues and is responsible for policy formulation and implementation across the Institute. He is a member of the Institute’s steering group.

Institute roles

Conor manages and co-ordinates the day to day running of the Institute, leads the central administration, line manages the functions which sit within the Director's office including fellowships, events, administration and finance. He provides strategic leadership on organisational, financial and operational matters across the Institute and advises the Director on personnel issues and is responsible for policy formulation and implementation across the Institute. He is a member of the Institute’s steering group.

Conor joined the IHR in 2018 from the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, School of Advanced Study, where he was Institute Manager for five years. He holds a PhD in English from Queen’s University Belfast, where his research was on James Joyce. He has previously lectured in modern literature and culture at Birkbeck, University London, Queen's University, Belfast and University College Dublin.
