IHR Seminar Series: The London POTUS Group

With a presidency as controversial as Donald Trump’s, it can be hard for some to find any positive notes. Yet when considering the raw data, the US economy is on the up and up. Will the positive trend felt in the first two years of this administration persist, and how much responsibility can the President claim for these indicators? In the inaugural lecture of the London POTUS Group, UCL’s Professor Iwan Morgan assess this. Placing the current political events into historical context, Prof. Morgan assesses the significance of today’s US economic upturn, and analyses of problematic areas of the economy that could expand into issues of greater note.
