Partnerships and Engagement

Bringing together all those interested in people, place and community, to forge new approaches to making histories, and to make a difference in the real world.

Work with us

We’re keen for historical research to make positive interventions in contemporary challenges and opportunities – for example, in place-making, tourism or regeneration. We're excited about what happens when history meets creativity, play and adventure. We aim to be a catalyst for transformation in academic practice and in places and communities today.

Many of our projects involve engagement and co-production: from Layers of London to the Victoria County History, which works with eighteen active county groups across England. In 2020, we will launch our free MOOC (online course) on Applied Public History: People, Places, Stories – building a virtual community to share perspectives, practice and ideas.
