Research at the Centre for the History of People, Place and Community

The Victoria County History, founded in 1899, is our longest-running research project. Other more recent projects include Layers of London and British and Irish Furniture Makers Online. Soon, you will be able to use this page to reach an archive of past projects linked to the IHR's former Centre for Metropolitan History.

Layers of London is a ground-breaking crowd-sourced mapping projects that charts the rich layers of London's past.

Victoria County History

The Victoria County History is one of the world's longest-running research projects, exploring England's rich local history.

CHPPC x Museum of Youth Culture
