Cambridgeshire
The Victoria County History of Cambridgeshire was completed in ten volumes between 1938 and 1989, although preparatory work had begun in the early years of the 20th century.
About VCH Cambridgeshire
The county was among the first to benefit from the enlargement of the range of subjects following the Second World War, and Volume III, on the City and University of Cambridge (1959), contained the first analytical history of the place.
The publication of volume X in 2002 completed the county.
