The Victoria County History of Essex

Twelve volumes have been published to date covering parts of the county now within the bounds of Greater London to Colchester and the seaside resorts of Walton on the Naze, Frinton and Clacton in the far north east of Essex.

Work is currently concentrated on the seaside resort of Southend and the port of Harwich.
