VCH Essex Trust

The work of the VCH in Essex cannot continue without adequate funding. The VCH Essex Trust (Reg. Char. 1038801), established in 1994, raises funds from private individuals, trusts and other charities, towards the completion of the Essex series. As the grants available from local government have declined, so the Appeal Fund’s importance has grown until it now funds the whole of the costs of research.

For further details of how to support VCH Essex through donating to the Trust please see the leaflet available for download at the bottom of this page.

In addition, the project depends upon valuable partnerships with the following organisations:

  • Essex County Council, which continues to generously provide accommodation for the VCH Essex project at the Essex Record Office in Chelmsford.
  • The Institute of Historical Research, University of London, continues to provide quality control through central editing and production guidance.
