The Victoria County History of Huntingdonshire
Huntingdonshire was completed in three volumes between 1926 and 1936 with an index volume produced in 1938.
Some general articles were written before 1909, but work only restarted in 1924 when Granville Proby (1883-1947) agreed to underwrite it, and a number of contributors were signed up to bring about a collaborative enterprise.
Part of Volume I, detailing the medieval religious houses of the county, and all of Volumes II and III are on British History Online. For full access to all volumes, check your local library catalogue or your local archive.
